Calculate Corrected Reticulocyte Count for Anemia

This is a simple calculator to find the corrected reticulocyte count in case of anaemia, where reticulocyte count is corrected as per fall in hct/hb to provide proper picture of reticulocyte production. In anemia, simple reticulocyte count will give a false information, so the reticulocyte count is corrected using patients hct vs hct of normal population.
This automated reticulocyte blood test is available at Qline diagnostics pathology laboratory at Ahmedabad.
You can select normal hematocrit in below calculator for male/female.

What Is RPI (Maturation Correction)?

Corrected Retic % alone is not enough in moderate/severe anemia.

When hematocrit is low, reticulocytes stay longer in circulation.

So we adjust using a maturation factor.

RPI Formula

RPI = Corrected Retic% / Maturation Factor
